Legend of Istoria - SideQuest Deck

I bought the four deck collection for myself and my kids. We used the cards a couple times so far and really like them. Most recently we went on a walk and got some photos of wild daffodils from the trail. I decided to organize the cards by low, medium, and high energy to make them a little more kid friendly. That way, if the kids are looking for a really adventurous thing to do, the side quests follow that same energy level. The chance of pulling a quiet/cozy/solo/at home side quest card is then reserved for other times and maybe just for myself to use. My only complaint is I wish the boxes were easier to open without tearing, but it's becoming less of a complaint now that I mingled all four card decks together anyway.

I’m pleased that I purchased this side quest deck! It is a fun way to add a little extra to your daily life. It prompted me to purchase a journal and the quad pack side quest decks. I will also be purchasing these in the future as gifs because who doesn’t want a little extra adventure in life.

I frequently get so caught up in my main quest in life that I forget to do the nonproductive things that I actually enjoy doing that make life so sweet. I bought the side quest deck to help me do things that are "not a priority" but they are fun and feed my soul. The cards themselves are top quality and have wonderful quotes on them in addition to the side quest. I'm even starting a side quest journal to write about each one.

I forgot I ca about it for a few days, then I remembered it and the first thing I pulled was, "do 15 minutes of yoga." I did ~7 minutes and then got distracted this deck will be very helpful for inspiration. If I may suggest, add one card that gives us ideas how to scramble them to be random/intuition based :)

Love the different common everyday quests. A fun way to get inspired to get things done or suggesting activities not thought of.

Really enjoy the decks I bought! I can’t wait for the magic deck to come back in stock because I would like to have all 3. I pull a card every morning and I love the motivation to do something every day! It makes bettering myself feel like less of a task and more like an accomplishment! I can’t wait for the 3rd deck to come back in stock and hope more decks come out in the future!

I’ve been seeing Tik Toks about this for so long, I finally decided to get a deck of my own. There is enough variety of things to do that whenever I am able to make time for them, I can find something new to do.

I love that it’s a full deck of 52! This will definitely make picking a card feel less repetitive when I eventually get through the whole deck and start over again. The quality of the cards is just superb as well. Overall, I am very happy

This is such a simple, but effective thing. I actually look forward to it everyday. The tasks are usually easy, and just train you to push through. They are fulfilling and rewarding and usually benefit you immediately. It’s like gamifying your life.

I appreciate the small yet achievable goals to try each day. The cards work well alongside the journal and encourage me to try different things each day. The artwork is pleasant, and the cards are resilient playing cards. I expect to get several uses of the deck before noting any wear and tear.

I love this deck so much!! Best purchase ever!! I do have one tiny problem though; it is SUPER hard to get open while being gentle with the box, I have attached a picture with the little flaps on top. If you fold the flaps in just a tiny bit you can open it way easier. On both my deck and my sister's I cut the side flaps just a bit so they no longer have the smaller bump and it is easier to open

Love these cards so much!! I received them as a gift, and am absolutely thrilled with them. Cleaning my car has been on my mind for months, but I just would not do it. So, when it came up in the cards, I knew it was time. I can not wait to see what future adventures await me.

I love this deck! My partner & I have a tendency to stay indoors as we Hobbits do, but utilizing a card a day to start off has led us on adventures, giving him the inspiration he needs for his projects and helping myself with stepping outside my comfort zone at a nice pace. ❤️

I ordered the Heroes Journey Side Quest cards, because I feel like I get stuck scrolling sometimes even though I desperately want to want to do out and do something fun. I love how the cards make these ordinary tasks seem like a game and they take the decision out of the dreaded after work question of “what should I do?”- which until now, ended up with me scrolling on my phone for hours. Love the product!

The side quests are fun and motivating.

1) What were you using to plan and track your goals prior to The Hero's Journal? Nothing. I got the sidequest deck, and before that, when in a creative rut, I'd just...find something to do. 2) What made you willing to try us out? Haven't gone through it much, and have had to skip a few side quests. Hopefully, I can return to them and complete them. They are very good, and keep me from getting in the "doldrums."

I am moving abroad for my Masters degree and I finally decided to hit the buy button on this Hero's deck. I love games like Legend of Zelda and always go crazy with the side quests so this is right up my alley! I think this is a fantastic idea and I cannot wait to get more in the future :)

I love this deck so far. Some are simple quests and others can take you on an adventure. It’s perfect to help combat my doom scrolling!

As a working mom I have limited time to just 'do stuff' - and this deck makes it so easy to schedule in some spontaneity... if that makes sense.

The cards are beautiful, well made and worth it. My disappointment is that it seems more cards are about self care than about accomplishing household chores. I have no issue taking time for me, I really need the quests to motivate me to clean and organize... and that's more of what I was expecting from the promotional materials.

I gave the side quest deck to a friend who was/is having some trouble feeling like herself. She’s a busy mom with a full time job and I wanted to give her something that would help her feel productive and help find herself again. She opened the deck when she got home and picked the card to organize all the files on her computer. She said she’s been meaning to do that for quite a few weeks and the card helped her get it done. She’s excited for more quests!

Most of the cards in the decks required someone else to complete the tasks or were just non-tasks in general. The first one I pulled was essentially "do nothing".

I got the 3-deck bundle and am glad I did. A lot more ideas to do. I'm using the decks probably different than expected. I lost my nephew 18 months ago. We were very close. There are times where I feel lost and not sure what to do next. I felt these cards would help jump-start me into new ideas. They have. I'd write more but I need to go build a blanket fort. lol Thank you!

1. I honestly didn’t have anything to plan or track my goals. I have several journal’s. None of them are completely filled, but hold my thoughts feelings and beliefs. Most are focused on the past or present, prayers and wishes, not the future or how to get there. I tried to keep track of all that stuff in my mind. It for sure gets lost on the Farris wheel of confusion. Distractions always win. I have never named my distraction, and over come them like adversaries. 2. I have always liked the idea of having adventures but fearful of them because to have an adventure means there has to be troubles to overcome. I don’t want troubles. Lol But they happen anyway, some big some small, the bigger the adventure the bigger the troubles sometimes. Lol I like the idea of looking at life like a quest and being my own hero to over come… it’s a new way of thinking. My therapist is always telling me to focus on self care. But sometimes I struggle with making a decision of what to do. The Side quest deck takes that struggle away from me and decides for me. All of the options in the deck are for self care. 3. Yes I really have enjoyed it. It’s only been a few days. But it’s nice and I get the dopamine rush from accomplishing small tasks, Instead of eating… which is something I need also. Thank you. I want to get all the journals. They are pricey but I know the amount of work that has gone into them. It was nice to be able to download the first 71 pages free. I am Enjoying them. I think I will be purchasing soon.

I bought the heros Journal because I need something to motivate me to be more productive. I absolutely love the story and how it makes you feel good about completing tasks! It's like I'm writing an exciting book that helps me be a the better version of myself. I have been a lot more productive. I also bought the side quest cards. They remind me to do things I forgot I needed to do.

I bought the three deck set - one for me and two to give as gifts to my best friends. Once I opened them I was tempted to keep them all for myself! These are so great and perfect for someone like me who often struggles with executive dysfunction. I often put off much-needed self care and these decks will help me and those close to me while also being fun and tasks often outside the norm of what I would plan for myself.

This sidequest deck is the coolest thing ever! I get bored sometimes, and instead of scrolling on my phone or watching TV, I love to pick a card instead. It's much more productive and beneficial to my mental health. I'm glad I found this product.

I love it!! I think the creativity and story-based functionality for goal setting and daily activities is spot on. I can see the psychology of functionality at play (example of future positive, future negative, present positive goal setting) and gratitude each day plus the planning ahead for what may get in your way. I've shown this off to over a dozen coworkers already as our company is very big on weekly accountability meetings toward hitting goals.

I haven't been able to find the motivation to get back into writing until I came across this journal! I can't wait to finish my journey!

I’ve been using the Hero’s Journal for a few months, and love it. I liked the idea of having the side quests for those times I have trouble knowing what to do next. So far they’ve been great!

Love the idea of the product and everything I did not enjoy how you have several packs but don’t go into the differences of each one or simply have a pack for adventuring out or an active pack or something of that sort because I love some cards but wish all were more active or specific and would’ve wanted to get a pack that suits me best

These are fun to just draw and have something to do. If I draw something that I've already done or it doesn't pertain to me, I just draw a new one.

I think my daughter is going to like this as part if a self care packet I am putting together. Something to motivate her in a fun way.

These are awesome! I went with the theme that matched the journal I chose, not knowing that each deck of cards is different or is aimed at helping you achieve different outcomes. It worked out well though since this deck is all about getting up and "doing" things and it has been really uplifting to complete the small tasks I've pulled from the deck so far. The cards are very high quality too! Thick, premium texture.

I adore this deck. Most of the activities are relatively small and simple, but very supportive of mental and physical health. The pictures are really cute, quotes on each card are a nice touch, and the cards are high quality material that will last a long time. Each week, I draw one card and add the activity to my planner. I look forward to drawing a new card and seeing what I will do next.

This is such a neat product! It helps me so much when I just can't decide what I want to do and the goals are super fun to do alone or with a partner/friend/etc. I almost feel that it doesn't necessarily need to be purchased with the journal as a set as it's just so nice to have on its own!

I love the side quest deck! I think it's a good mix of super simple/ slightly more involved tasks and the artwork is really cute. The cards are a little tough to get out of the box but they're thick and good quality. I like to use them for when I want to do something "productive" but not sure what. I’m disabled and on disability. I don’t really get out much because of it. I struggled with my mental health every day and had no motivation to do anything and that made me miserable. I found this journal on Tiktok and decided to try it out. The journal and sidequest deck have been such good tools to help improve my days! I love journaling every day now, and the format helps me be able to plan out my day based on how I’m feeling. It’s helped me be able to change my mindset into something more positive and productive. I’ve been more motivated lately and the journal has helped so much!

Customer support is a great part of The Hero's Journal experience. When my journal arrived I was excited and ready to use it because I had been primed by The Mentor. The journal layout inspired me to take action and take risks that I had not before. This product is one that gets used and makes real changes.

So in love with these sidequest decks. I struggle with motivation and am very task-oriented. So these cards take away the decision of what to do and make it super fun!
