The Hero's Journal Storyline Digital Bundle

I wanted to try out the digital version after I got a physical copy and I have to say that the digital version is just as good as a physical. While I do prefer to have a physical copy I think that if I ever have a point where I don’t have a physical one this will be great. It’s easy and portable and still lets me keep on track with any quests I am doing

I bought the digital bundle with all 3 journals for three reasons: 1) because I live in Europe and shipping the journal would have taken long and been expensive. 2) because I wanted to be able to print the journals out as often as I wanted/ needed and maybe let my kids try them out, too. (I print individual spreads for them to color and maybe fill in.) 3) I actually stumbled across the journals because I was looking for something to document the ttrpg games my kids and I play together. These journals are not for that but they fit a theme that my family is currently enjoying very much. Buying the digital bundle was easy and quick. Downloading the digital files was easy. I recommend letting your favourite PDF-viewing software print your journal as a booklet. That way you can bind it yourself (I just slid a rubber band over the pages and put the resulting booklet into a plastic cover for composition books that I had lying around.) I adore the art work. I don't color in the whole picture, though. I've chosen to mostly color in elements that repeat: Yew's outfit, the companion droid, the toad. Sometimes I will color in other fun details. The stories are fun, sweet, exciting. I like the gender-vague Yew, this makes it easy to have both my kids be able to see themselves in Yew. I'm currently using the Galaxy of Istoria Journal and have finished Act I. I've found myself using mostly the gratitude, allies and threats, as well as the lines and dots areas of the journal. I document what we've done, where we went, who we hung out with, symptoms, quality of sleep, moods. Basically I'm using it as a track and trace & health journal. I've found that my "quest" might change from one day to the next. I currently don't have a big career goal, or a home renovation project, or personal growth I want to accomplish. I have small DIY or crafting projects. I have several tasks each day that need to get done to keep the chaos at bay. So I've taken the liberty of re-interpreting the "My Quest" and "to seize the day" boxes to suit my needs: I write my current crafting project in the "My Quest" box and write my most important tasks for the day in the "to seize the day" box, with my least favourite task (or the one that will take longest) next to the toad. This means that the toad-task might have nothing at all to do with "My Quest" and I might not make any progress on my "quest" for several days. The part I'm least interested in are the reflections. Probably because I don't have a 3-month goal I'm pursuing. I do enjoy the opportunity to award myself a badge at the end of each chapter, though. Sometimes I did learn something new, or I did well in a new or challenging situation. But it's never in pursuit of a long-term goal. Before using the Hero's Journal I was using a simple composition book to track our health, contacts, and symptoms and index cards for the day's tasks. That system worked well but I decided to switch to this journal simply for the pretty visuals that I am too lazy to create myself.

Digital files are beautiful, its also fun to color them digitally. I enjoy the hard copies however the digital files give me freedom to reused them at anytime

These digital copies are worth EVERY penny! I am able to get a low quality book printed so that I can keep my wonderful leather bound one safe and unused! I can even use it on my iPad with GoodNotes if I wanted to digital plan. Honestly the fact that they offer digital copies for purchase and with the hard copies is so generous! It’s a gift, and I am so grateful it is something they chose to offer.

I have just used lists, on paper or digital, for decades to try to get things done. I was selling the old one and buying a new home this Summer. There have been so many hoops to jump through and this is the first time I have moved in decades. The first time doing it alone as a widower. I felt overwhelmed by the journey I am making, the Hero's Journal is helping me stay on track, which is a huge task for an elderly ADHD, procrastinating, brain-injured old geezer. I feel lighter and more confident as I approach my goals. I am also using an app on my phone that turns activities into experience points, treating life like an RPG. Each level up opens more possible ways to earn points. But without the Hero's Journal to cement the goals and directions I am choosing I would still be floundering, as I have done for many years. I feel as though I am now flourishing. Keep up the good work.

I absolutely love it. I heard from it via youtube from how to adhd and for me it's great. I've been struggling with organization (before I would just use a normal calender, but didn't stick to it), but because there is something new to explore every single day, I actually look forward to using it. Because I'm from Germany I got the digital version, but I love that I can print it out and get it bound. It's perfect.
