Just from opening the box and seeing how cool the product looks got me excited to use this. This is my second journal, and I’m excited to utilize this more and live more in the space. As someone who’s just now getting into their own business venture, I find this even more imperative, especially after traveling the first journal.
I love it! I had printed off a chapter to try at home and it doesn’t compare to the high quality pages. My only suggestion is making a future edition alcohol marker friendly.
I got these journals for my sister and I. This is my second time using one, and am thrilled to be diving back in. Not only did they arrive fast, but in epic boxes, which great guides to get you started, and a layout that makes it easy to keep to it without feeling guilty if you miss a day. 5/5 stars!
I LOVE My Hero's journal!! As an adhd-er from waaay back in the day, typical planners never stood a chance despite my best intentions. They'd always end up crumpled in the bottom of my back back, accidentally maimed beyond repair or completely forgotten about within a week. The Hero's journal is different- i WANT to use it. I love framing my goals within a hero's quest structure. The page layouts RULE! I feel too overwhelmed by a blank page- and these are filled with cute , nerdtastic illustrations, places for gratitudes, hurdles to overcome, and of course your goals. It's so satisfying to list out all of the day's side quests and check them off one by one. It's motivating and has kept me on track. One of my big goals was to get back to practicing my banjo - and I have EVERY SINGLE DAY since my journal arrived. It gets me off my butt and keeps me on track with work, cleaning my apt, banjo, and other creative outlets like coding and 3-d printing. I used to use a white board for my tasks- but this is so much more fun, and it keeps track of all of my daily wins so I can look back if I'm feeling down on myself and reflect on my accomplishments. As a teacher of neurodiverse students, I bring it into the classroom during talks of executive functioning/goal setting and many kids have shown interest in trying out something similar themselves. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
I absolutely love this journal! I got the Valentine's bundle and it's such a great idea- My boyfriend loves his journal as well! The design is so fun, the quality is great, and the company is very involved in getting you started and guiding you on the beginning of your journey.

This journal is perfect! The story catches your attention and keeps you motivated, the formatting is perfect and makes it easier to answer the questions inside. I was gifted the journal by a family friend and it's PERFECT. The habit tracker makes it easy to follow and reminds you to complete the habit while filling out the journal, thank you, to all that were involved with production!
I can’t wait to get started! This is my second Hero’s Journal - I’m currently adventuring through the IMA edition and I loving it! It’s the first time I’ve stuck to journaling consistently and in one place - as opposed to the many scattered notebooks and scrap pieces of paper system I previously utilized. The journals are beautiful and very well made and so much fun to use. There are many great features - being able to gamify my goals and turn them into an adventure, great art, colourable pages, inspiring quotes…, in addition to these, one of my favourite features is the undated pages. It allows me to work at a pace that feels right for me and adjust that pace at any time without leaving behind a lot of wasted pages or feeling the heaviness that comes from seeing them. Filled with adoration for these journals. Highly recommend!!
The journal arrived well packaged. It's nice to the touch and I feel like I can sit down and focus on one thing for the quarter.
The first one i bought was for my wife. Now me and her are no longer married and I saw that she never used it so I did. I liked it so much that after a while I wanted to get one that was more my style. She liked the magic and Harry Potter stuff. But for me the space travel was more for me like Star Wars. So now I am on my own adventure this one if for my job and bettering my life.
Absolutely loving this planner! I've always enjoyed the concept of being consistent with a planner, but never have been able to stick to it. I love that the hero's journal feels more like a game and lets me work towards building my "stats." The colorable pages are a huge bonus!
I just received my second Hero Journal in the mail, and I can't wait to start it. I am close to finishing my first journal (Istoria Magic Academy), and it has been such a great addition to my life. I have managed to journal every day, which is something I wasn't able to do in the past. The fun of the story and the encouragement to write down my goal, along with the ways I am going to accomplish it every day, have helped me meet my goals and feel better about myself.

I’m so proud I finished my first Hero’s Journal! Even though my progress was slow, I had rough days, and kept changing my quest, by the last week of using it, I really became a calmer person. Now that I finished, I feel so weird as I wait for a new one! I didn’t expect to get attached to it! I decided to try the hero’s journal because I was searching for a way to gamify my life, and then I found a YouTube video of the journal and was intrigued. Before the hero’s journal, I’ve been using sticky notes to write my to-do list. But the journal is nice because it offers more than goal setting: there’s gratitude, reflections, and reminders of your goal. I like looking back and seeing what my biggest obstacles were, and what I accomplished throughout the months. In this way, it’s like a precious diary of adventures! I feel that the strongest point of this journal is reviewing the cost of inaction and the benefits of accepting the quest whenever I lacked motivation. The one thing that I feel could have been better is the art style, personally it’s a bit too cartoony for me. However colouring really helps make the story feel real! When I finished my journal, I had the exciting feeling that my quest was really just beginning…
I loved the Legend of Istoria notebook so much that I ended up getting the Hero's Planner, the Galaxy of Istoria Notebook, and the Adventure side quest deck. The planner has helped me get organized and I've been able to keep myself motivated and accomplish more tasks. The notebooks and planner are fun, cute, and have helped me in many ways since I started using them.
Absolutely love it. From the design and the surprising pen and bookmark. The quality and attention to the adventurous details. Found my forever journals. Cannot wait to see what the future holds.
I got this earlier than expected which I was happy about. It came with some free stickers which was awesome. This is for my sister's birthday... hopefully she doesn't see this review and realize I got it for her. I've also bought the Legend of Istoria journal, one for myself and one for my best friend, we both love it. I also bought the legend of Istoria side quest deck and am excited to use them to get out of my boring routines. Thanks Heroes Journal!
My son Donnie has ADHD and dysgraphia along with a few other things. We tried journals before to help him with things and he was never impressed with any of them. The biggest thing is journals seem to be really geared toward girls. There isn't a lot of "guy journals." Plus all the others were strict and if you missed a day it messed everything up. The Hero's Journal however has kept him engaged and on task. He starts his homeschool morning with it and at night we revisit it and add things. I have never seen him take such an interest in wanting to write and share things. It has also improved his communication skills and I see him opening up more with me. I took a chance on this journal and to be honest, I was looking for another fail but I am beyond words glad that it isn't. Thank you for such an awesome journal.
This is my second Hero’s Journal. My friends got me ‘Academy’ for my birthday last year, and it was so much fun to fill out that when i finished it (yes, it did take me almost a year lol) i got ‘galaxy’! Looking forward to getting ‘legend’ next. When i was diagnosed in my 30s and started to live as an adult ADHD’er, that new awareness helped me a lot with life in general. I’d never stuck with a journal before this one. I do highly recommend for ADHD peeps!
I had seen the ads and was looking for something more than just another notebook of lined paper, so I decided to give this a try. I've only started a few days ago but it's been a lot of fun, going back and coloring the pages has been great to extend the user experience and it really makes you think about your day. Definitely recommend!

Best investment I made was for my own mental health and create my story on my terms. This Galaxy of Istoria journal has been the best tool in my belt to work on it. Coolest way to describe it, IMO, is you're creating your own comic book. Color the pages how you want, write what you want. Tell your story the way you envision it going. I can't describe how often I go back to previous excerpts to read and reflect on my own progress. Highly recommend using this awesome journal, especially as a sci-fi fan.
I adore The Hero’s Journal! This is the one I got for my husband. He has already been writing in it today! We are both going to start the daily pages tomorrow and use our journals for the last part of the year to finish off strong! Thanks for this amazing tool that makes life an adventure!

A bit of background: I am neurodivergent, and have only very recently in my life begun using ANY planner/journal system (2016 at earliest), because it was so hard to keep up with before. At current, I utilize a combination of a semi-traditional daily bullet journal & a simple weekly dated planner for appointments, as well as an overall life balance/goal-tracking planner. I bought the Hero's Journal specifically for a particularly tricky three months at work (with a major audit at the end of it) to see if the novelty of a new format would help me out. I have been aware of the company for a few years and saw that one of the Sci-Fi journals was on sale, so I decided to try it at a lower cost! I am a notebook connoisseur (self-titled ;) and I really like the look of these journals. They have good construction, the back pocket is well-made, and the cloth cover and stamping are quite nice. The paper is cream colored which is good for the eyes (and there are plenty of places to buy cream-colored correction tape, which I'd recommend!) -- and while the paper is quite thick, be advised that I did have some problems with highlighters bleeding through when I tried a few swipes. I'll have to see how my other markers hold up in the back pages before trying again. I'm not too concerned about the coloring aspect, though I'd like to take a better shot at it. It's not enough to take a star away though. While the presentation appears geared towards a teen/young adult audience (I am well past my twenties now, ha!), it does have its charm for older adults as well, especially those of us that still love fantasy & sci-fi stories. It's also very good for people seeking pre-made journals that have a nice "gender neutral" feel to them. Planners and pre-formatted journals generally skew very feminine-coded online, and it's great there's some alternatives! This will specifically be for work goals and work achievements, but I'm already eyeing the other two "stories" for my language learning goals, as I feel the goal system might be even more efficient for that kind of work.
I first heard about this brand of Journals from a YouTube channel called "How to ADHD" specifically their video on dopamine and motivation. They laid things out well enough for me to want to give it a shot as a I agreed having a simple planner wasn't enough on its own for me to continue logging information and planning goals. I was pretty excited to get the journal, the packaging was very sleek and the journal itself looks like something out of the shelf of a sci-fi laboratory. So far I have been writing in a new page ever since I got it. It's really easy to understand how the journal wants you to organize things with a lot of room to do things my way. I'm doing well taking things day by day thanks to how the journal narrow down the huge sea of things that need to be done into one major quest and side quests like what we're used to in video games or table top games. The art inside is very well made and there is so much unique things to look at on each page. My quest has only just begun but I am very grateful to have this journal as my guide to see things through.

The book looks and feels great. I like the lay out of the mission pages it makes things easy to fill in and really focus on the major bits of the day. It's satisfyingly to fill in the little boxes in the good habits book mark. I have ADHD so having this type of organization and panning turned into a fun little space adventure like game helps in leaps and bounds.
So far so great! I was really excited after signing my contract (in the beginning of the book) to my quest and have been having a great time filling out my daily progress and notes. I look forward to following through and progressing.
Loving this so far. I use a bullet journal for planning my work day and keeping track of my job responsibilities, so I was looking for something fun and lighthearted for my personal planning. The Hero’s Journal ticks all the boxes: a fun theme, story-based layout, and enough structure to keep me focused and not worrying about a blank page. I’ve used it for a week now and it’s already keeping me off my phone in the mornings and focused in on my day, my goals, and my gratitude.

I LOVE these journals! The Galaxy Of Istoria is my THIRD Heros Journal! They are fun to write it, they work well as a bullet journal, as well as a note taker and a great way to document your day (and side quests!) If your looking for a new and innovative approach to your journaling, you need to get one of these!
This is a journal that I find keeps me engaged unlike a plain notebook. Coloring the pages elevates my mood and allows me to process my day and think about what I want to write down.
I started using this after slogging my way through a previous different journal. The storytelling aspect is great and I love getting to color in on the pages (btw I am using cheap Crayola markers and have no problem with bleeding or ghosting). Can't wait to face each day!
