It's wouldn't be a Hero's Journal product without a bit of story! Every few pages you will be delighted to find some lore relating to The Legend of Istoria storyline. Each notebook has it's own theme:

The Lined Notebook (Red) is an Istorian travel log featuring locations from The Land of Istoria and some lore!

The Dotted Notebook (Orange) contains the treasures and relics of Istoira, their origin stories, and even their stats! (DnD nerds rejoice)

The Blank Notebook (Yellow) is a guide to Istoria's people and creatures.

Each notebook contains 80 gsm ivory paper and a textured softcover with a pop of color! Whether you have a Hero's Journal or not, these are a great addition to your life.

I got my first Hero Journal as a gift. Don't get me wrong. I wanted one but it was on my gift list and so I got it. The Hero Journal has helped me stay focussed on the goals I'm going after. Good quality paper back mini journals. Cute illustrations. Love these. The only way they could be better is if they were Red, Green, and Grey instead of Red, Orange, and Yellow, so that they match the LOI journals. Other than that, these are perfect.

I would not normally have bought these as I wouldn't have thought I needed them--but I bought the "have it all" package and I'm really glad that I have them. The different types of pages (empty, lined and dotted) are interesting and give freedom when writing things down. I use one for planning, one for journaling the journey, and one for recording successes. I love having them paired with the journal it's a nice complete package. I like that each notebook is a different color so I can easily see which one I need at any given time. So far I'm really loving the whole package!

I came across the Heroes Journal quite by accident. Or perhaps not. I saw it advertised on the all knowing, always listening socials. It appealed to me instantly. During the pandemic and after, I sank into a place of depression and anxiety. It was characterized by a profound loss of concentration, a lack of desire to do the most basic tasks, and a continuing inability to find my creativity. As someone who used to read 2-3 books a week, enjoys binge watching Netflix or having a cuddle up movie night with my spouse, to find myself unable to read an entire paragraph, or even watch a half hour show to distract myself was more than a bit maddening. As a published author, to not be able to put a pen to a blank page without fear was impossible. As an avid epic fantasy fan, the appeal of the Heroes Journal was immediate. The illustrations are charming and the fact that I’m not being presented with a blank page felt almost immediately comforting. I’ve been a user of planners and journals most of my life, but this was perhaps a doorway back to creative thinking, writing, and goal setting. As my first quest, I decided that the phrase “Finding Me All Over Again” captured the hope that I have for emerging from the morass of my uninspired imagination. My therapist is thrilled! And so am I! Since purchasing the journal, I have also purchased the quest notebooks, habit trackers, and two side quest decks. The side quests are simple. And they are essential for me to break out of the lingering sense of isolation and sitting idle in my shrunken routines. Every day, some part of my time in the Universe of the Heroes Journal makes me smile, keeps my attention, and gives me a sense of returning creativity. It’s helped me set manageable daily gratitudes, identify the positive influences I can draw on, take note of what my threats or roadblocks are, and start navigating back to a life of ideas, goals, and creativity.
