I love the Hero’s Journal and already plan to purchase more journals for friends and family! This is the only journal/planner I have ever found myself using consistently, even if I skip a day or two I always end up using it again. I use the journal and the habit tracker in GoodNotes on my iPad, when I get bored I use the highlighter to color in the beautiful images surrounding my day-to-day schedules and lists. As a busy college student I would recommend this journal and brand to anyone and everyone
Started with the downloadable version and loved it, but prefer the solid, tangible feel of the real thing. My son has now asked for one too, and we are both loving it
Overall, I am really enjoying the journal. I just want that clear. Two things I would change. Get more artwork so that you aren’t seeing the exact same pictures throughout each individual act. I was bummed when I saw that because the pictures tell the story of your progression and 30 days of no visual progression is discouraging. The second thing I would change is expand the notes section and give less floor space to allies and threats. Maybe even less picture for more notes which would would also help with the first thing I would change since your pictures could be stretched out further.
Since I was able to print it out I customized the outside. I love it so far, I think it will help me organize my way through my quest.
Love this journal! You'll be astonished at how the mythic motif clarifies what's going on in your life and helps you progress on your path. Both the digital and paper version of Hero's Journal offer different benefits. I chose the digital version for my dream working quest and am getting the paper version for my business quest.
Just opened my journal - it's HEFTY!! I did not expect so many pages (okay, so the description said 240+ pages, but how am I supposed to know how thick that is?). I've skimmed some of the pages, and I can't wait to dive in! Thank you for putting such a great idea into action.
I'm a therapist and a coach. I talk about the hero's journey so much that a client brought me her Hero's Journal to show me back in January. Since then, well, the world has changed. And we need heroes now more than ever, right? I get to help people own their story and uncover their authentic hero. The Hero's Journal provides a fun way for people to bridge their ordinary world and track progress while embodying their emergent hero. (And if you're ever interested in adapting it into a workbook, I have lots of ideas!)
I love my journal - it hits all the important points for planning my day! It would be so fantastic if they could come out with a colored version of the digital journal. Color adds so much!
Super fun journals! They make it actually exciting to start goal setting. Not to mention the illustrations are super cool! There’s a nice section in the back of just lined paper to write on which is really nice.
I love this journal. Helps me stay motivated. I actually especially like the Digital version because it is so easy to change things there if my schedule or goals change.
I love this journal - it's a lot of fun and a great way to focus on a goal.
I love my journal so far! I got the digital version and it has been a great new journal/planner as my husband and I embark on our quest to become self-sufficient homesteaders.
I have loved the Hero's Journal! I spent hours coloring the in the pages on my iPad (I bought the pdf version), which has given me a fun and colorful way to organize my day. The journal really helps assessing the day and what I need to do in order to complete my quest!
Super fun layout!!!
Having read Joseph Campbell, Jane McGonigal, and Steven Kamb's books on the hero's journey and gamification I had already had many of the concepts that the Hero's Journal tries to incorporate. I have been playing my own version of "Level up your life" with my bullet journal and some personal quests/goals. I purchased the digital version because I knew I would be modifying the lay out and use. I really love many of the things used. The stages of the journey, the timed reviews, the gratitude section, the focus on the current task with goal alignment, and listing out your blockers as enemies...all great steps in getting your goal accomplished. It's a great start. I think most folks will eventually modify the system if they stick with it. The big thing I had to add was a leveling system, but that was in order to engage my personal motivation. I would recommend the digital version to anyone looking to use gamification to get themselves into better life habits. Well done.
This is the beautiful journal I have ever received and I started coloring it, And slowly making my way to starting it!
I love this Journal. I have one at home I have decorated and color, etc. Then I have one at work. I am a paralegal and I have no one particular area of law I practice exclusively. My job calls me a "Gumby" because I get pulled in all different directions. That being what it is, it does get chaotic and this journal helps keep me in check. I have records of all the documents I use, create, and require, along with those that are needed far and few between. I keep the journal for my thoughts, dates, closings, deadlines, court hearings, etc. It never leaves the office. And, it helps make my job more organized in a fun way! I have little "sticker" helpers that peek around pages to keep me in check! :) I saw the journal, but then when I went to purchase it, I couldn't find it again. I spent hours and hours literally. and finally it popped up!! I'm so grateful.....
This is truly designed to accomplish goals and make real gradual change in your life! Every aspect of each daily page as well as the reflections and how it visually progresses like a story. It feels like a supportive and encouraging friend!
Really like it especially in these times. The frog approach has revolutionized my world!
I was excited to use this on my adventure at the start, but I think with all that is going on with the coronavirus and everything being shut down (and perhaps I am just lazy) I haven't been utilizing the notebook to its full potential. It's not really anything inherently wrong with the product, it's just a little hard to stay on the quest I suppose.
This journal has helped me to actually find a way to let out my stress and maintain my sanity. The quest concept helps me feel like - I know it won’t be done in a day. No hero’s quest was ever won in a day, but that doesn’t mean I can’t have victories along the way!
The Hero's Journal has really helped me set my daily goals and reflect more about what I'm thankful for. I love the theme of the journal and The Hero's Quarters community is full of awesome and friendly people.
Nontechy person purchased a digital journal. Instructions for what app needed to actually use without needing to print would be nice. Now that I have the correct app on tablet, I can type in it. Just haven't figured out how to color it yet. If I could get everything working I would give it 5 stars.
The Hero's Journal has been an invaluable tool in taking this Crisis and turning it into Conquest. The contract is a daily reminder to keep going and make this day matter. The quotes are relatable and the artwork is just plain fun. I have used the positive affirmations to forge my own llc and continue to look for my Player 2. The Journal will help you articulate and illustrate how you can be the hero of your life.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this journal!!! Late last year I took a course to write my life vision. No sooner did I print it up and was raring to go, I was diagnosed with cancer. I wasn’t going to let my new dream life die without a fight and I vowed that I would come out of this situation better than I went in. I’ve been working for months now on this. I just couldn’t seem to make much head way.... until I found this journal. It’s really helped me focus on manageable tasks without being over whelmed. It also helps me track progress and at this point any progress is good. And it’s SO much fun! I’ll be using this as the map for my life vision and will be using it over and over Again.
I purchased this after using the April quarantine quest print-outs. I love it. The illustrations are super cute and it makes work fun and feel like an adventure instead of drudgery (I use it exclusively at my work). My home life is a bit too complicated to manage with only three main tasks, but it's perfect for work!
I have the digital version. Although my journey has just begun, I've never felt so focused on a dream or confident that it could become reality.
I've been doing the quarentine quest for April & May, and have really loved the community built up around everyone doing what they can to achieve their goals. It's been beautiful, and really helpful during this scary, uncertain time.
I am loving the digital journal. Being able to print the pages have allowed my child to color while I do the rest. The price is wonderful especially now with money being right during the virus chaos.
As a graphic designer (who's always on his computer), I appreciate having a digital version of this awesome "Heroes Journal"! It's easy to use and keeps me focused on what's important. Also I love all the pictures. It really does make Journaling FUN again!!... When a new Quest and new Pictures arrive, I'll definitely be purchasing the digital version again. Keep up the GREAT work you guys!!
